Around 3:30 PM CT yesterday, Team Associated added a close-up image of what looks to be a new vehicle to its Facebook and Instagram feeds. Showing what looks like the A-pillar of the Lexan shell, with a glimpse of the chassis beneath, the image provoked immediate speculation on Facebook as to what it might be.
The first thing I noticed was the paint scheme, which looks similar in design to that used for the B6.1D but using the colors gray, red and gold. If you peer through the window hard enough, the chassis — with its transverse-mounted shorty pack and mid-motor configuration — looks similar as well. It didn't take long before someone in the comments mentioned the possible name "T6.1" assuming a new stadium truck platform would be named to match the newest 2WD buggy.
More information, and likely more teaser images, will be shared as soon as possible.
