Team Orion has introduced a new range of modified-class brushless motors based on the Vortex Ultimate Stock last October, and it’s what Ty Tessmann used to win the 4WD class at last weekend’s Hot Rod Hobbies Off-Road Shootout. The motor was designed to provide low resistance, which increases performance and efficiency - particularly the new “Ultimate” sensor for accurate timing adjustment. The precision-balanced rotor is made of a new magnetic material, which improves braking efficiency and feeling, and mates with a new stator design for superior efficiency and lower running temperatures. Lastly, The four-piece can design has an angled front plate. The Vortex Ultimate Modified is available in 4.5-turn to 8.5-turn options, as well as a specific 6.5-turn motor built for 1/12-scale on-road racing.
