Raceworks Hobbies Race Report:
RaceWorks Arena in Singapore was host to the NOOB 2012 Singapore Open Buggy Series season opening 2WD event last Sunday. The event saw 33 entries vying for top honors on RaceWorks' very technical medium grip raceway. Tein, Kum Yew and Adi drove made a clean sweep of the top qualifying positions with their three X-Factory X-6squared buggies while last year's series winner Mark "BC" Lim struggled with his Tamiya TRF201 through qualifying to take fourth spot. In the finals, BC took the win in leg 1 with a consistent run and capitalized on the mistakes of the front-runners. Leg 2 went to Kum Yew with BC in second and Tein in third spot. With Leg 3 going to Tein, BC and Tein would be tied on points and total laps - but fastest total laptimes finally put BC out on top in the final standings with Tein finishing second and Kum Yew third.
