Race Report by Kaja Novotny:

The 3rd round of Nationals took place last weekend in Dolni Bukovsko. On Friday, we had as usual free practice, but track was unfortunately still wet after rain the night before. Only few drivers decided to put their cars on the track, but then had tons of work to get them ready for the race. 

In Saturday morning, we had a short free practice. My XB8E felt awesome, together with 2200kV Hobbywing motor and Sunpadow Long Gold packs, it was crazy fast! So I spent most of practice with XB8, trying some stuff and different JConcepts patterns. 

In 1/8E qualifications, I managed to take TQ in Q1 and Q2 which gave me overall TQ! As there was less and less dust on the track, I tried different pattern for Q3 which didn´t pay off and Max TQed last round! 

In A1, me and Max got quickly away from the rest of the field and tenth by tenth each lap I managed to built good gap and took the win! In A2, Ales Bidovsky this time joined the fight, while Max fell back later, Ales and I battled until the last lap and eventually my XB8E crossed the line 1st! As last main was just before IC main, I decided to start also in A3 to try again JC Detox tires and as the track was now without any dust, they worked awesome and I took the win and set new lap record of the day!

In IC qualifications, I took TQ in Q1, but Max then put down solid runs in Q2 and Q3 to take the overall TQ! 

For semifinal we did some changes on the car as well as I decided to go with JC Kosmos in Green and my car felt great and got pole position in the main final! 

In the final, small error in the first lap promoted Max to the 1st place, I was 2nd and Jiri Mara 3rd! Like this TOP 3 got away and battled for the lead for like 15 minutes … Max then did few errors and it was about Jiri and me. I was leading most of the time, but did few errors in last minutes which gave Jiri the lead! Eventually I finished 2nd and Max took 3rd place!
