OFFICIAL: Ryan Maifield joins Team Orion!

When Team Associated dropped the bombshell announcement last week that Ryan Maifield was leaving, I wrote that our staff's assumption would be that Ryan's departure would include separation from long-time sponsor Reedy and that he was most likely Team Orion's new superstar, which was to be announced on July 1st. Though it's still not set in stone what cars Maifield will be running, and with the announcement that he'll be running certain Orion products leaves the door open for him to continue with his contract to run Novarossi nitro engines, Team Orion has confirmed that Maifield is joining five other ROAR National Champions who currently run Team Orion electronics.

The Wait Is Over! Team Orion's New Super Star Driver...Signed!

Team Orion is very excited to announce that today, July 1st 2014...we have signed Top US Driver Ryan Maifield through 2015. Ryan will be utilizing all our Team Orion 1/10 & 1/8 Electric Products that include: ESC's, Motors, Batteries, Servos & Chargers. Ryan brings great knowledge & experience to Team Orion. He will have a big part in our Research & Development on all Team Orion Electric Products.

Throughout Maifield's racing career, he has racked up 2 IFMAR Worlds TQ's in 4wd Buggy, 6 IFMAR Worlds Podiums in 2wd/4wd Buggy, 11 ROAR National Championships, and countless other victories.

Maifield will complete the, "Strong Six" in the US for Team Orion which also includes: Ryan Cavalieri, Jared Tebo, Dakotah Phend, Dustin Evans, and Ty Tessman.
