Davide Ongaro was crowned the 2023 Philippine Masters Champion after a grueling 60 minute final. Micha Widmaier would finish up in the 2nd spot with Christian Wolhuter ending up 3rd.
By the time the Nitro Buggy Championship Final was up, what this whole racing weekend was building up to, all had gathered around the track to what was expected to be an hour long of battles on the track. On the pole was back-to-back and current World Champion Davde Ongaro with 2012 World Champion Robert Batlle sitting in the second qualifier spot. The beginning of the race saw a bit of a mix up as more than a handful of cars came together changing up the racing order. Ongaro managed to managed to get away cleanly as third qualifier Micha Widmaier in tow, also avoiding the pile ups, looking to keep Ongaro with in his sights. Batlle got thrown to the mid pack when the initial dust had settled and was charging back to the front when midway through the 1-hour final his throttle servo gave out forcing him to retire after 47-laps. This was good news for Widmaier who took over the second spot, but it wasn’t going to be easy to maintain the position with Christian Wolhuter incredibly making his way to the third position from the eighth starting position. Ongaro would go on to take the overall win with Widmaier taking second and Christian Wolhuter taking third.
