Pinisch and Grainer Win R5 of Austrian Nationals

The 5th and final run of the Austrian Nats in category 1/10 E-buggy was held last weekend 29th/30th of September at MRC-Traiskirchen – close to Vienna.

The track has been totally rebuild from dirt to Astro-Turf. The natural contours have been preserved to ensure an off-road feeling even on Astro. The circuit is very technical, with jumps and a table and a steep curve.

Three classes were raced: 1/10 2WD Buggy, 1/10 4WD Buggy and 1/10 Truck.

Peter Pinisch dominated the qualifying runs and had the TQ in all three classes.

4WD: In the final rounds the situation turned. Lucas Grainer won the first and third heat and won the 4WD race before Peter Pinisch and Thomas Pumpler.

2.       Peter PINISCH – Associated
3.       Thomas PUMPLER - Yokomo

2WD: Again, there were tough but fair fights between Peter Pinisch and Lucas Grainer.Finally, Peter Pinisch won ahead of Lucas Grainer and Thomas Pumpler.

3.       Thomas PUMPLER - Yokomo

Truck: Thanks to its consistency, Roland Hauleitner managed to beat the TQ and won the truck class ahead of Peter Pinisch and Christoph Holzer.
