Check out all the action from the 2021 Psycho Nitro Blast Rocket Car Showdown between Joe Bornhorst/Matt Wolter and Cole Ogden.
Joe Bornhorst and Matt Wolter from Tekno RC were able to complete a perfect rocket launch going 255 feet and down siding the grass section beyond the concrete touchdown area. Joe used a Tekno ET48.3 with EB48.4 front and rear end parts, with foam 1/8th scale tires, and a custom 3D Printed rocket holder which held a total of 3 rockets.
Cole Ogden went a similar approach using an HB Racing D8Te Chassis with D8'19 front and rear end parts. Cole opted for rubber tires but after Joe's launch switched to Joe's foam tires. Cole's car smashed into the ground maybe 30ft before the glass blowing the speed control and motor up on impact.
