Picking up right where he left off in Vegas last week, Team PROTOform’s Ronald Völker dominated Touring Car Modified at this season’s first Euro Touring Series race, reports RedRC.

It was the third year in a row the German has opened up the ETS season with a win in his home country’s round, first taking TQ honours and then clinching the title with wins in both of the first two A-main legs. The PROTOform Mazdaspeed6 was the choice of every A-Main finalist on the tricky indoor track, proving to be the definitive race body for stable, balanced handling on high-grip carpet surfaces.

The ETS series now takes a 3-month break before resuming action with Round 2 in the Czech Republic. This is also an indoor track, so we’ll see if the rest of the field can use the break to close the gap on Völker’s carpet dominance.
