UK NATIONAL 2WD and 4WD SCT CHAMPIONS
X-Factory UK’s season long domination of the UK Short Course Nationals concludes with championship title victories in both 2wd SCT and 4wd SCT.
For the third year running X-Factory UK SCT team drivers took home the silverware, but this year in BOTH classes…

In 4wd, Lewis Williamson (last season’s champion) was in unstoppable form all season long once taking podium finishes at every round and winning with a perfect 1000 point score and securing the outright series title to become National Champion now 2016 and 2017!!! A fantastic achievement for the very talented youngster.
Last year’s runner-up and team mate Darren Boyle was 2nd again to complete a superb 1-2 once more for the X-Factory UK team.
The switch by the team this year to the TLR SCTE 3.0 platform was pivotal, in fact X-Factory UK team drivers running the TLR filled 5 of the top 7 positions in the overall series standings - a stunning achievement for the new truck.
The team were controlled by either the Tekin RX8 Gen 2 or Corally Revoc ESC and all running the Tekin Pro4 HD 4300kv motor.
Both Lewis and Darren were powered by Vampire 6400mah 100C LIPO’s.
Lewis topped the series with the perfect 1000 points, with Darren on 991. They were also joined by fellow team mates Jonathan Szymanski (4th),
Oliver Szymanski (6th) and Gareth Cutting (7th) all in the top ten to round out a superb year…
All of the team drivers in 4wd also used wheels, bodies and accessories from JConcepts, Avid R/C and Lunsford too…..
In 2wd, Darren Boyle was the only driver to win at more than one round, taking 3 wins out of 7 in the series
and securing the outright series title to become National Champion 2017.
Last year’s runner-up and team mate Richard Miller was 2nd again to complete a superb 1-2 once more for the X-Factory UK team in both classes.
Darren’s TLR 22SCT 3.0 truck – using the Exotek laydown transmission, was powered by the full Team Corally package – Cerix Pro160A ESC, Dynospeed ModX motor and Vampire 4600mah 80C shorty LIPO’s,
Richard’s PR Racing truck was using the full Team Corally package – Cerix Pro160A ESC, Dynospeed ModX motor and Platinum Series 4500mah 100C shorty LIPO’s.
Both drivers choosing the overwhelming favourite body of the series – the HF2 from JConcepts
All of our team drivers in 2wd also used wheels, bodies and accessories from JConcepts, Avid R/C, Lunsford and Exotek Racing too…..
This year saw 89 racers compete in the series (28 in 4wd and 61 in 2wd) as we travelled to tracks all over the country including EPR (Croydon), Leverton, NWN (Blackpool), Herts, Coventry, Coastal (Ipswich) and A1 RC (Grantham) for the final and soggy round.
