Arrowmax Asia Race Cup 2017 Shanghai, China Race 2 - Race report

After a successful introduction of the Arrowmax Asia Race Cup in GuanZhou, China, the race travel to Shanghai SYE racing track and commencing the Shanghai stage of the race. The SYE racing track being one of the biggest out-door track in Shanghai, drivers are enjoying a sunny weather for the event.

With the winners of the Shanghai League also earning a ticket to Japan for AARC grand final, the race continue to offer Arrowmax 1/10th EP Modified touring class, Dash 13.5T Stock touring Class and the Dash 21.5T Formula class, both Stock and Formula classes will be using control motors supply by Dash.

In the Arrowmax Modified touring class, local ace Jimmy Zang had taken the TQ in a convincing fashion, and he will go on to win the first two A-main finals and claim an early win for the race. Second place will goto Lin who score a double second place finish. By winning the last A-main combine with a 4th place finish in the first A-main, Hou Zi will round out the podium.

Arrowmax Modified A-main Final result:

  1. Jimmy Zang (China)
  2. Lin (China)
  3. Hou Zi (China)

The Dash 13.5T stock class again was dominate by Japanese Driver Masaki, being the obvious leader in the qualifiers, he will go on and grab the TQ honour. Masaki again prove to be too strong for the opponent and he will went on and win all 3 A-mains. By taking a second place in the first and third main, Diki will score a second place for the event. Another Japanese driver Onda will round out the podium for the Stock main.

Dash 13.5T Stock A-main final result:

  1. Masaki (Japan)
  2. Diki (China)
  3. Onda (Japan)

In the Dash 21.5T Formula class, Jimmy Zhan went on and took the TQ honour, however it's American driver Bob Peterson who won the race. Second place will goto new comer Hansen, and Jimmy Zhan had to settle for third place.

Dash 21.5T Formula A-main final result:

  1. Bob Peterson (USA)
  2. Hansen (China)
  3. Jimmy Qian (China)
