Race report from Team Orion:
The 2017 International Off-Road Carpet Championship was held October 8th-12th at the Westgate Hotel & Casino in Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada.
Team Orion Factory Driver Ryan Maifield along with Team Orion USA Team Manager Joe Pillars were both on-hand to support the first year of what will become a very big event!
Race Schedule:
- Sunday, October 8th: Controlled Practice
- Monday, October 9th: Seeding Practice
- Tuesday, October 10th: 3 Rounds of 5-Minute Qualifying
- Wednesday, October 11th: 3 Rounds of 5-Minute Qualifying
- Thursday, October 12th: 5-Minute Triple A-Main Events
2wd Modified Buggy
After all 6 rounds of qualifying were complete, it was Team Orion's Ryan Maifield taking the overall TQ honors!
Maifield then made quick work of the competition by taking the convincing Wins in A-Main #1 & A-Main #2 and capture his 1st Championship of the event!
Congrats also goes out to Team Orion USA's Chris Jarosz on finishing an impressive 4th overall!

Team Orion's Ryan Maifield dominated qualifying in the 4wd Modified Buggy class to take the overall TQ!
Maifield then went onto take the Wins in A-Main #1 & A-Main #3 to secure his 2nd Championship of the event for the clean SWEEP!
