Jonathan Yeung & Carson Yeung win XMG ENERGY CUP Nitro offroad Race 31-Dec-2017

This is the year end race of XMG track in 2017. XMG track is located in Dongguan, Southern part of China, about 90km away from Hong Kong border. Racers from mainland China, Taiwan, Macau as well as Hong Kong racers participate in this race. The track is considered as rough and loose dirt track and partly covered by carpet on jumps while all corners are running on dirt. This track is technical and a good place to test the racers skill.

Jonathan Yeung and his dad Carson from Hong Kong driving TEKNO NB48.4 (Jonathan) and TEKNO NT48.3 (Carson) to compete in Nitro Buggy class and Nitro Truggy class respectively. One of the key highlight of this race is that Jonathan and Carson cars are powered by latest generation of ALPHA DRAGON IV engine.

In nitro Buggy class, Jonathan once again demonstrated his speed and consistency to set the fastest qualify round (The only 12 laps in qualify for nitro buggy class) and claimed the overall TQ title. In Nitro Truggy class, Carson enter A-Main final in 3rd position.

Main finals were started at afternoon, Nitro Truggy A-Main final was started in front of Nitro Buggy class. Carson started as 3rd position and after 2 laps, Carson climb up to 2nd place and climb up to 1st place after 12min race. Carson keep the leading position until race finish and won the race.

Nitro Buggy A-Main final is spectacular! Jonathan had very smooth start and keep extending the leading margin from start to race finish. He took the advantage of the first few leading laps that no car in front and break the official best lap time record by 29.974sec. At the end of the race Jonathan finished 75 laps, Dong 71 laps and Lin Le Ha 70 laps.
