Hooks and Hughes win RCPro Round 5

Round 5 of the RCPro Series was held at Boothill Raceway this past weekend. Racers battiled the weather on Friday and Saturday morning as rain left the track area very wet and muddy. After some time and some sun the track became extremely enjoyable with an abrasive bumpy surface foriegn to most who had been to the track. Look out for the finals at Thornhill Raceway November 16th through the 18th.

In Pro Buggy TQ, Tyler Hooks, after an early race crash was able to pull a two lap lead over the field after 45 minutes. Jake French would stay on the lead lap until a flame out at his 3rd pit stop put him in a battle with Hunter LaFlower for 2nd. Ultimately Jake would finish 2nd with Hunter 3rd. Pablo Tejada would finish 4th with Robert Chapman finishing 5th.

In Pro Truggy TQ, Tyler Hooks, would take the win a lap up on the field despite a flame out after his second pit stop. This would give Billy Tylaska the lead for a couple of laps before Hooks took it back. Tylaska would suffer a late race glow plug issue giving Wade Moore second after Wade had fallen to last on the first lap. Robert Chapman would finish 3rd with Aaron Royston finishing 4th and Pablo Tejada taking 5th.

In Pro Ebuggy, TQ, Tyler Hooks would win A1 before coming under trouble in A2 and A3. Quincy Hughes would capitalize by winning A2 and A3 to take the overall. Jake French would battle back after having ESC issues in A1 and A2 to finish 2nd overall with Charles Day finishing 3rd. Tyler would round out the podium in 4th with Robert Chapman taking 5th.

40+ Nitro Buggy: 1st Nick Lewis, 2nd Eddie Doggett, 3rd Bruce McCallum, 4th Tim Thomas, 5th Harry Lewis, TQ Kieth West

40+ Ebuggy: 1st Tim Thomas, TQ and 2nd Marcus Carver, 3rd George Wever, 4th Wilson Wilson

Sportsman Buggy: 1st Christopher West, 2nd McLovin, TQ and 3rd Harry Lewis, 4th Alex Williamson, 5th DJ Simpson
