Hooks and Chapman Top RC Pro North R1

The first round of the RC Pro North Series took place this past weekend in Ardmore, Oklahoma at Shaw's RC Track. 113 entries participated in the three day event.

In Pro Buggy Tyler Hooks would take the TQ but would fall back out of the top 3 for the first half of the race with Hunter LaFlower taking over the lead. Hooks would eventually battle back to take a 25 second lead at the end of the 30 minute main. Hunter LaFlower would finish 2nd with Aaron Royston finishing 3rd. Robert Chapman and Quincy Hughes would round out the top 5.

Pro Ebuggy would again see Hooks take the TQ as well as the wins in A1 and A2. Charles Day would take the A3 win and 2nd overall with Quincy Hughes finishing 3rd. Robert Chapman would take another 4th with Micah Smith finishing 5th.

Pro Truggy would see a controversal finish with Royston crossing the line first, but having flamed out and been restarted behind the line one lap was taken away giving Robert Chapman the win with Royston finishing 2nd and Francis Sosing finishing 3rd. Austin Shacklett would finish 4th with Scott Brewer taking 5th.

Open Buggy: 1st Tony Kiegley, 2nd and TQ Ralston Furstonberg, 3rd Cedric Whitaker, 4th Rob Hessman, 5th Austin Shacklett

Open Ebuggy: 1st James Williams, 2nd and TQ Mark Santa Maria, 3rd Shannon Swafford, 4th Cody Cooper, 5th Jim Brown

40+ Buggy: 1st Tony Kiegley, 2nd and TQ Scott Brewer, 3rd Harry Lewis, 4th Robb Hessman, 5th Eddie Doggett

40+ Ebuggy: 1st and TQ Scott Brewer, 2nd Steve DeArmon, 3rd Will Schaule

Sportsman Buggy: 1st and TQ Gary Guffey, 2nd Harry Lewis, 3rd Kieth Bird, 4th DJ Simpson, 5th Tully Isbell

Sportsman Ebuggy: 1st Gary Guffey, 2nd Brandon Offutt, 3rd Eric Chen, 4th Austin James, 5th and TQ Tim Massey

Etruggy: 1st and TQ Jeff Flekenstein, 2nd Cody Cooper, 3rd Steve DeArmon, 4th Brandon Offutt, 5th Chris Lawson

4wd SC: 1st Micah Smith, 2nd Mark Santa Maria, 3rd Andrew Tshekeche, 4th and TQ Cody Cooper, 5th Shannon Swafford

Mini Truggy: TQ and 1st Aaron Royston, 2nd Eddie Doggett, 3rd Robert Shaw

Kids Class: 1st and TQ Mason Grisson, 2nd Trenten Simpson, 3rd Ayden Williams, 4th Ethan Santa Maria, 5th Chase Cooper, 6th Ryan Doggett

This event was also the first for the new RC Pro kids class with 6 young ones battling it out and taking home some awesome JTP RC shirts at the end of the day.

The next event will be the 2nd round of the south series at Gulf Coast Raceway on June 7-9.
