This past weekend was the final time drivers could hit the track at Thornhill Racing Circuit before the ROAR nationals in June. Joey Christiansen did not disappoint with a stellar track layout that was both high speed on the outer edges and technical in the center. Jimmy Babcock kept the race program moving and fun with over 250 entries showing the popularity of the event and the track itself. Huge shoutout to Chris Allison, The Allison Family, The Lefebvre Family, and Andy Bates for all the track work, great food, and hobbyshop help.

Pro Buggy:

Ryan Lutz (Agama) would dominate buggy qualifying taking all three rounds. Ty Tessmann (Xray) would be the best of the rest with a 2nd place starting spot followed by Jared Tebo (Tekno), Cole Ogden (HB Racing), and Joe Bornhorst (Tekno rounding out the top 5.

As far as the main event would go, Lutz would stop early with problems, he would rejoin the fight but 2 minutes down ending his charge at the front. Tessmann would take the lead but would lose it after a flame out to Jared Tebo who was hot on his heals before the misfortune. Tebo would go on to take the win 8 seconds up on Cole Ogden in 2nd who was 12 seconds up on Bornhorst in 3rd. Tessmann would rebound for 4th after another flame out with Adam Drake (Mugen Seiki) claiming 5th.

Pro Truggy:

Lutz would take the last two rounds of qualifying in truggy to take the overall TQ. Bornhorst would TQ the first round and start 2nd on the grid. Ogden would have another 3rd place start with Tebo starting 4th and Dillon Caldwell starting 5th.

Jared Tebo would have a tough start falling to 5th in the first couple laps before rallying and taking the lead between the first and second pit stops and never looking back. Lutz would finish 2nd about 17 seconds back. Bornhorst would claim another 3rd 27 seconds behind. The battle late in the race would be for 4th with Ogden having to get a steering problem fixed early and losing time. Cole would try to catch Tyler Hooks (Tekno) who passed Jackson Brunson (Team Associated) with 3 minutes to go. Hooks would lose a switch just after moving into 4th and Ogden would pass Brunson in the last minute but would run out of gas on the final lap giving Brunson 4th and Ogden 5th.

Pro Ebuggy:

Tessmann would take the TQ in rounds 2 and 3 in ebuggy to take the overall TQ. Ryan Lutz would start second after tying with Tebo who would TQ the first round. Brandon Rose (Serpent) would start 4th with Joe Bornhorst starting 5th.

Tessmann and Lutz would have relatively quiet double mains taking 1st and 2nd respectively. Rose would battle with Tebo and Bornhorst in both mains and would come out with 3/4 finishes to take 3rd. Tebo would go 3/5 to take 4th and Bornhorst would go 4/5 for 5th.
