Lainemae Doubles at Estonian Nationals R3

Race Report by Rainer Ressar 

Estonian Nationals Round 3 was held at the newly resurfaced Tartu RC Track. The conditions were always changing on a very windy day on the astroturf and red clay track. In Qualifying it would be Karl Kasekamp and Hendrik Lainemae with their XRAY buggies setting the pace in Nitro Buggy and eBuggy respectively. The trend would continue in the Finals. 

In the 30-minute Nitro Buggy Main Karl Kasekamp, Hendrik Lainemae, Robin Ilus and Rainer Ressar got a clean start and gapped rest of the field. Kasekamp would lead the field for the first stint but would suffer technical issues on the out lap. Hendrik would take the lead being closely followed by Robin and Rainer. 5 minutes before the end Rainer suffered technical issues forcing him to pit to fix a loose pivot ball, which dropped him to 5th behind Jaanus Saare and Arco Aria. In the end it was Lainemae from Ilus, Saare, Ressar and Aria.

In eBuggy Hendrik would take the win in both A1 and A2 in front of TLR's Robin Ilus and XRAY's Karl Martinson, Randolf Alt and Henry Zoludev rounding out the Top 5.
