At the start, Amirul starts off clearly along with Nelson Lee, Yee Kok Leong and Alvin Ng. Coming into the second lap, Amirul overtake Kok Leong and charging in towards Nelson and closes the gap. Around the 13 minute mark just before Amirul made his first tyre stop, he took over the lead. It was quite a challenging battle from Amirul and Alvin on the second half of the race as Alvin picked up the pace. Amirul was leading Alvin by 2 laps when he went in for his 2nd-tyre stop while Alvin made one-tyre stop only. At the end of 45-minute A-Main encounter, Amirul Rafiq was able to bring home the trophy with his new Shepherd Velox V8.2. in front of Alvin Ng with Austin Wong completing the podium.
