The rain has made the first move thus forcing everyone’s nightmares to become a reality. That nightmare being a water soaked track with mud that clings on for dear life to every component on the car. Last night it rained just over and inch with winds in excess of 20mph tearing through the pits. At the moment, the track is in a little bit of a holding pattern as track officials spread saw dust over the track to help soak up the water out of the soil in order to make the track somewhat drivable by 11am today. Many feel this is not going to happen while others are seriously considering not running today in order to preserve their cars. Lets not forget, tomorrow is slated for a tremendous amount of rain that could potentially bring this entire program to a stand still.
