Juan Carlos Canas triumphs in the gasoline category, with Miguel Ángel Garcia and André Bento on the podium
The Jaén circuit hosted the first event of the RC Cup Andalucía 2025 in the 1/8 off-road gas category, delivering a spectacular race in which Juan Carlos Canas Carrasco once again demonstrated his supremacy. The Spanish and European champion dominated the final with impressive mastery, solidifying his position as the undisputed benchmark in the discipline.
Behind him, Miguel Ángel Garcia Bedoya put in a magnificent performance, securing second place. Consistent and fast throughout the heats and the final, he managed to outpace fierce competition. In third place, Portuguese driver André Bento, who had been in second position before suffering a mechanical issue, still managed to finish on the podium, once again proving his level of performance despite the challenges.
An intense battle for the top positions
The qualifying heats had already shown the intensity of the competition. Juan Carlos Canas finished at the top of the standings, accumulating the maximum points and demonstrating his great form from the start of the weekend. André Bento, staying true to his style, secured a solid second position, while Miguel Ángel Garcia Bedoya positioned himself in prime place for the final.
In the decisive race, Juan Clavijo Martinez also showcased great driving skills, securing fourth place, just ahead of Emilio José Tenza Jimenez, who completed the top 5 after a remarkable comeback. Quim Ballester Rovira from Barcelona, Carlos Larios Ferrer, and French driver Chebab Benjamin also stood out, battling fiercely throughout the final.
