Team XRAY's, Reno Savoya, made his way to the Pierrefeu GP in his home country of France this past weekend. With poor weather conditions, the event was not attended as many had hoped, however the racing still close between France's best drivers.
Savoya, driving the XB9, was able to put together clean and consistent runs securing the overall TQ spot on the difficult track.
Rain poured down and soaked the racetrack Saturday night into Sunday morning. Track officials miraculously dried the track with hours of hard work and saw dust for main day. Savoya cruised to victory in the semi, and after a short battle with Jerome Aigoin in the final he would slowly gap the field driving to yet another victory!
It rained all night and also in the morning on Sunday. The organisers made a fanstastic job to pull away the puddles and dry the track with saw dust, as no one was expecting to race with such showers we had all night!
"Great weekend and atmosphere, it feels good to be back home! Another great TQ and win in the bag, the way to go for confidence before the Worlds in a few weeks!" - Savoya
