Kyosho's Jared Tebo drove his Maxima Mx-powered, AKA Products-equipped Kyosho buggy to the win in the Buggy main event - scoring his first class title since 2010 with his wife and three children watching trackside. The win was even more memorable given his transponder failure, which the ROAR Race Management Team noticed quickly and remedied - honoring the unquestionable on-track winner and ensuring a quick, just ruling.

Tebo was emotional after crossing the finish line, later explaining after celebrating with his wife and three young children (who watched the race from the LiveRC hospitality tent next to the track) how much this win meant to him and his mechanic Joe Pillars after a couple of years of coming up short at similar events. Tekno RC's Ryan Lutz acknowledged that it was likely his best chance to win yet, and was disappointed in the mistakes he made but still enthusiastic about the accomplishment. Finally, defending winner Spencer Rivkin was relieved to have finished the weekend on a high note given the challenges of the track and such a long, grueling program.
