Both ROAR Racing and Gravity RC have posted an update on what the rules for USGT and VTA will be for this years paved nationals and in the future.
ROAR Racing:
Onroad Paved Nats Clarification.
USGT and VTA will follow the ROAR rule book concerning motors. USGT will use the Gravity USGT motor. VTA will is any 25.5 ROAR approved motor. In the coming months the USGT/VTA rules will be removed from the ROAR rulebook and races running those classes will use the http://www.usvintagetransam.com rules as this is where they originated. This should clarify any confusion in the future caused by having different rules for the same class.
Gravity RC:
Gravity RC would like to take the lead in acknowledging @ROARRACING for canceling the USGT 21.5 Spec motor from its events.
We also want to assure the public and race tracks that we will continue to uphold the strict tolerances for which these motors are known. Our commitment to relentless customer support, event sponsorship and hobby store support remains unwavering. Additionally, we will maintain transparency of tech instructions and even keep putting our money where our mouth is by actively traveling to events to ensure fair motor tech when it counts the most. Remember, this is where it all began.
This commitment is not only for our USGT motor but also our “spec10” sealed 17.5, “tour” sealed 45deg 21.5, and our scale spec 25.5.
