Race Report by Hartmut Rose
The last race of the year in the 1/8 and 1/10 IC class in central Germany was held this weekend at the „Little Monaco“ racetrack in Wachtersbach. With many entries in three classes and dry weather the drivers had a lot of fun and competition on Saturday and Sunday.
In the 1/8 scale class 2 it was XRAY driver Andreas van Huth who took the pole position, arrived later on Sunday at the track, with a one lap gap in front of Christian Willert and Klaus Kowenig. At the end of the 30 minute race, Andreas wins with a seven lap gap in front of Detlef Dickes and Christian Willert. Michael Fuhrmann with his RX8 finished in 5 position, while the big surprise of the day, 8 year old young driver Julian Krajuszek with his RX8 claimed the 6. position overall by his first race ever and he wins the junior driver scoring!
1/8 IC Class 2 Results
In the competitive 1/8 scale class 1 it was Philip Sting on pole position after qualifying, with Dominik Schrumpf in second spot and XRAY driver Hartmut Rose in third position. The long 30 minute race went very well, and after some trouble for the leaders Hartmut took the win by his first ever class 1 race with a two lap gap in front of Jorg Waeldle ( Serpent ) and Philip. Norbert Hugel finished on a solid 6. position.
