Serpent has released some exciting news today, however with very little details. An all-new 1:8 onroad platform is apparently in the works and set to hit hobby shops in February 2013. The new car is named the "977 VIPER". We assume that the 977 will be a replacement for their successful 966 platform.
The question is...will the 977 be a fresh build from the ground up, or more of a "updated" 966? Stay tuned as more details are set to be released within the next few days.
(The Serpent 966 has already evolved through multiple updates and versions, which leads us to believe the 977 will be new from the ground up.)
