Sixth teaser photo of prototype Team Associated 4WD buggy accompanied by official name - RC10B64

At 4:45 PM CT yesterday afternoon, Team Associated showed off a sixth teaser of its SLA-printed prototype 4WD buggy with a photo taken from the front of the car, with the camera held high enough to show more of the chassis than has been seen before. The biggest news, though, was the caption - which officially announced the complete name of the buggy: the RC10B64.

The photo ties together what we've discerned from the previous images, with long-travel front and rear suspension, tall carbon fiber shock towers, and blue-anodized aluminum goodies throughout. This image confirms a left-rear motor position, opposite a shorty LiPo pack held in place by a swing-away strap secured by a single thumbnut. The biggest new development in this photo is the center of the drivetrain, sort-of-shown off for the first time - though we don't know yet if the car will include a center differential or slipper clutch (or both), it will be mounted in the center of the vehicle with a wrap-around spur gear cover, with what looks like 1/8-scale-style chassis braces at both the front and rear.

The caption for the photo on Team Associated's Facebook page reads, "Designing a successor to the #B44; the most successful 4wd 1:10 electric buggy platform in history, was no easy task...we appreciate your patience, the wait is nearly over! #SLAPrototype #RC10B64" - and that last hashtag is the big story, noting the full name of the car as the RC10B64, a nod to both the current generation B6 2WD buggy as well as the outgoing B44 4WD platform.

The most exciting part? the caption ends with "the wait is nearly over" - a Black Friday release, perhaps?
