MWNS Finals Race Report:
Sonny Ocha takes winter title!
The final round of the Midwest nitro Winter series took place this past weekend in Griffith Indiania. Coming back to the Racewold haunts for the finals would have the racers again negotiate the tight and fast layout, clean dirt, and good times.
Although the title for pro buggy would be already decided, your champ, Sonny O' would still seek to make a clean sweep of the series. Alas his domination would come to an end in the hands of arch-rival Jimbo Kvderia, who would finally overcome bad luck all season long and take his Serpent Cobra to a well deserved win. Young Colin Weatherholt, after a bad start fought his way though the tight and fast layout, from last to the podium; bumping the series champion to third. Although not a losi lockout of the podium this time, It was for VP powermaster that fueled the top 3.

2nd Colin Weatherholt
3rd Sonny Ocha
In Pro truggy, Jeremy Whiting's Serpent would cruise to an easy win in the A main and with it the Series championship. Leslie Chow with F&E power taking up another consistent podium finish and Chow's pitmate Greg wilks rounding out third.

Intermediate buggy is where the real battle would reside having at least four drivers in contention for the title hopes by the series finals. The A main would see spoilers Brad Whitaker and Matt Lust battle for the lead leaving the title contenders of Frank Fattore, Scott Lesage and Dave Nichols to duke it out mid pack. Nichols would do all he could and score a podium finish but it would not be enough to overcome Fattore's points cushion, Nichols would in the end lose the title by one point and allow Frank Fattore intermediate buggy champ.
