First look at upcoming Tamiya TB Evo.7 touring car

Japanese blog RCMonkey posted what’s believed to be the first image of the upcoming Tamiya TB Evo.7 shaft-driven touring car, though it’s unclear whether the vehicle depicted is still in prototype form or resembles the kit that will be released for sale. Judging by the photo, the car features robust front and rear bulkheads with differentials protected by polycarbonate guards at each end of a carbon fiber chassis that uses no top deck for added rigidity. Compared to the previous TB Evo models, the motor mount has been moved toward the front of the car and the speed control is now placed behind the motor, with the battery mount on the opposite side of the chassis moving toward the rear. The floating steering servo mount looks to be rather bulky as well.

More information is expected ahead of the kit’s release.
