Everybody knows that Friday is meant for reminiscing old times. Each week we take you back in time as we flashback to some of R/C racing's greatest moments, products, drivers, and more!

Flashback: 2010
ROAR Carpet Nationals at "The Track"

Opened in 1992 with the name of original owner Mimi Wong, it’s been 12 years since Mimi’s RC Track was re-branded to just “The Track,” and five years since the facility in Gaithersburg, MD transitioned from carpet on-road racing to clay off-road. This weekend’s ROAR Electric Off-Road Nationals is the first time the facility has hosted this particular event, and the first ROAR National held there since the 2010 ROAR Carpet Nationals.

Unfortunately, LiveRC wasn’t there to cover the race - but I was able to dig up photos, results and some videos from RCTech. Just 78 entries competed across seven classes, covering Modified and Super Stock (13.5-turn) Touring Car and 1/12-Scale, Stock (17.5-turn) Foam Touring Car, Vintage Trans Am, and Sportsman Stock Touring Car. Only the Sportsman Stock Touring Car category completed triple A-Mains, with all other titles decided in a single sprint to the finish line.

Josh Cyrul was the big winner, scoring both Modified championships from the TQ spot on the grid, and his TOP Racing teammate Vincent Jackson added the Expert Super Stock victory.
