STRC releases new 1:8 scale E-Buggy conversion kit for the Traxxas Slash 4x4

 

STRC has announced today the official release of their 1:8 E-Buggy conversion kit for the popular Traxxas Slash 4x4. The new conversion kit includes everything necessary to take your short course to buggy, and allows Slash 4x4 racers to experience the thrill of 1:8 scale buggy at an economical price.

 

 

Some call it the “backslash”, some call it the “Pro8” or simply more commonly known as just the E-buggy. However, here at STRC, we like to call this our own little encore…exactly one year ago we introduced our Slash 4x4 LCG conversion kit, and since then, Slash 4x4 owners all around the world have enjoyed the transformation of their Slash 4x4 short course truck into a race winning capable machine. With this 1/8th scale E-buggy conversion kit, we open up yet another dimension of Slash 4x4 enjoyments. Unlike other 1/8th E-Buggies, this conversion kit allow Slash 4x4 owner to take advantage of the 3 lbs+ weight difference versus conventional 1/8th E-buggy and retain using the 2S Lipo/550 motor setup they already have. No need to invest in a 1/8th specific ESC/Motor combo or 4S+ lipo. This machine is fast enough using a 2S/550 setup with great power-band and usable horsepower.
All components are CNC Machined of high-quality aluminum as you come to expect from STRC. Works with STRC Slash 4x4 LCG Chassis kit, Traxxas Stock regular CG Slash 4x4 chassis, Traxxas Slash 4x4 LCG Chassis. Available in anodized blue, black, silver and limited edition red. Requires 1/8th buggy body, tires, wing, and 17mm hex adapters and miscellaneous hardwares.
