We caught up with Brian Manske this week for Talk-It Up Tuesday after his big win at the DE Racing Super Chip Drag Race last week.
Live RC: How was the Super Chip race experience as a whole?
Brian Manske: Was an awesome experience never been on concrete.
LRC: Did you come in with any sort of confidence that you could win beforehand?
BM: I've gone 1.89 on Asphalt so didn't know what to expect, I heard it was tough to get down the year before on the concrete and being a little bumpy.
LRC: Do you have someone who helps you set everything up?
BM: Mark Vyne initially help with the build and tuning on the original car I had, that I rebuilt and gave to my son. I built a new car for Tulsa so I learned a lot doing so.
LRC: Do you do any other form of RC Racing?
BM: This is the only RC Racing I do, my background is drag racing and it is a lot alike.
LRC: How much money did you end up winning if you don’t mind sharing?
BM: The pay out was 14k split between the last 3, 9800 for first 2500 for 2 and third was 1700. But is was all Team AZ Bullet cars and Mark and Frank Helped me get where I am so only thought it was fair to do a 3 way split.
LRC: Have any brands approached you for sponsorship?
BM: Yes Fantom, Tekin, Reaction Tire Prep, Square Motorsports sent some products and still working on more.
LRC: What is the next big race you plan on hitting?
BM: Mayhem Madness CA.
LRC: Is there anyone you would like to thank?
BM: Yes Mark Vyne, the Bullet Team AZ, And my Wife for putting up with me.
