Pro-Line Race Report:
Battle at the Beach 2012 at Havasu RC Raceway has come to a close. What an epic weekend of racing! Weather was in the low 80’s and next to no wind on Sat, zero wind on Sunday. Tim and John from Pro-Line made the trip out to get some racing in as well!
The race format for the weekend was 3 rounds of qualifying with 7 minute AAA’s for electric, Single 30 minute A’s for nitro. The track was run wet all weekend, and traction was pretty high. Tire choices from the faster drivers were Hole Shots and Tazers in M3 compound. Blockades worked very well also.
Pro-Line brought out a huge pile of goodies to give away to all the racers. Almost everyone who raced went home with some handouts. Thanks again Pro-Line! Other sponsors including Pro-Match Racing, Sidewinder, Tekin, and Avid gave out goodies as well!
This year Havasu R/C Raceway innovated the awards system by putting the award winner’s name and picture on the plaque!
Sunday was main day all day. The star of the day was no doubt Pro-Line driver Tanner Stees. He took home the win in all 4 classes he raced. The Short Course Mod class and 2wd Buggy class came down to the tiebreaker in the final main. Only 2 seconds separated him and team driver Jason Miller!
