Team Tekin has announced that they have joined forces with 1/8th specialist and pink clothing wearer Taylor Peterson.
With electric 1/8th scale buggy kind of in a weird place right now, this could turn out to be huge news or irrelevant news depending on how the class shapes up over the course of the year. The class seems like it constantly flirts with a breakthrough, but motor and speed control technology has seemingly kept it from truly succeeding. Team Tekin is hoping to change that perception of the class with their premiere line of products.
Tekin's blog had the following to say about the move:
@font-face { font-family: "Perpetua";}p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal { margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Times New Roman"; }div.Section1 { page: Section1; }
Newly signedTaylor Petersen will be racing the Cabin Fever Supercross Race this weekendwith his new Tekin Powered Mugen Mbx6 Eco buggy! Taylor has been chomping atthe bit wanting to get into this hotly contested class. When askedabout his decission on which electronics to power his Mugenbuggy Taylor responded "Tekin was the obvious choice."
Come see Tekin's Taylor Petersen, Jeremy Potter, Ty Campbell and even the Prezthis weekend in Lewiston, ID.
LRC wishes Peterson and Tekin the best of luck in 2011!
