Team Durango continues to sign top-level talent

Team Durango have been acting very George-Steinbrenner like as of late, gobbling up talent left and right.

Their latest addition, is Frenchman-turned-Australian-turned-Texan Renaud "The Shark" Savoya.

Team Durango released the following statement regarding the move:

Team Durango is delighted to announce that multiple European Champion and Worlds finalist, Reno Savoya, will be joining their international race team for the 2011 season. Reno is regarded as one of THE most gifted and friendly drivers in RC today.

The Shark’s list of achievements in 1/8 nitro buggy racing is impressive by any standards:

* 3 times French National Champion 2007, 2008 and 2009

* 8 times European Championships A Main finalist, in order: 9th, 5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 1st, 1st, 1st

* 2 times World Championships A Main finalist, 3rd in 2008, 12th in 2010

We are delighted that Reno has chosen to join Team Durango. Here is what he had to say:

“Like I said a few days ago, The Shark is ready to bite! Starting January 2011, I will race under the Team Durango flag! Everybody at Team Durango has shown me incredible motivation and professionalism. Thanks to the technical team and the drivers; we will focus on producing the best cars on the market. I’m really excited with this move and I look forward to race Team Durango for the near future, and of course, win! I will race 1/8 buggy (nitro and electric), 1/8 truggy, 1/10 electric, and the very impressive US style SC!
