Team Durango has officially launched the DESC210R and unveiled the truck from top to bottom! The new truck features many of the same features found on the DEX210 buggy as it includes the option to run mid or rear motor, 3 or 4 gear layout (an option never before seen on a Short Course Truck), big bore shocks, composite chassis, and more!
The new truck surprised us as we expected it to have the signature TD aluminum chassis, towers, and accessories. In an effort to save weight and compete with the existing 2wd SC's on the market it appears the Durango has left the aluminum behind and have built this lightweight SC with durable new composite plastic chassis and parts (similar to the Associated SC10).
The new truck comes standard with a ball differential, and an option gear diff is also available.
Team Durango states: "Getting the setup options you want without expensive optional parts is what the DESC210R is all about."
With that being said, there is a long list of adjustments and tuning options built into this truck and included in the kit. While they don't look as fancy as the aftermarket aluminum ones, the performance is there without the price as this truck has a street price of $299.99.
