After spending the last 13 years with Team Tekin Racing, team manager Randy Pike has announced via social media today that he has parted ways with the brand, and taking on a new position at Tesla.

Randy Pike's statement on Facebook:

"The time has come for me to part ways with Team Tekin after 13 years. I am taking on an exciting new position at Tesla as part of their Drive Unit Team and moving from small electric cars to full size ones. It’s been fun, crazy, hectic, and more fun than most will experience at a job. However, all good things must come to an end. I’d like to thank the owners of Tekin as well as the rest of the staff that I’ve shared time with. I’d like to thank all the Tekin customers and the team drivers who’ve allowed me to be part of your R/C racing, it’s been a pleasure. I’m not inclined to speak on what’s next for me in r/c as I’m not sure myself. I simply ask you respect my space and keep it professional, as you’d expect it from me."
