It's Sunday night and everyone is exhausted, but it was well worth it.
Jared Tebo pretty much showed everyone that he is ready to put his heartbreaking worlds' A-final behind him and get on with 2011. In nearly untouchable fashion, Tebo won 2WD, 4WD and SCT- all of the classes he entered.
In 2WD, Jared Tebo checked out and won the first two legs easily to capture the overall title. Ryan Maifield and Ryan Cavalieri took 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
In 4WD, Tebo won A1, but had some bobbles in A2 which allowed Ryan Cavalieri to nab a chance at the overall going into A3. But Tebo got his bad laps out of his system in A2, and went on to win A3 fairly easily.
Mod Short Course saw Tebo win A1 (I sense a trend...), however, he was unable to lock up the overall in A2 as, once again, Ryan Cavalieri was able to charge to the front and take the win. Tebo came back and had yet another strong A3 performance, winning the leg and the overall with Ryan and Ryan taking 2nd and 3rd again, only flip-flopping their spots.
Hobbled by a recent foot surgery, Jared was on crutches and hopping around on one foot all week, but it didn't hinder his performance on the track one bit. The Kyosho star looked in prime condition, and should be a major threat to win the Reedy International Race of Champions in Los Angeles in two weeks. You can watch it LIVE on LiveRC.com.
Ryan Cavalieri had a good weekend as well, finishing in the top three in every class he entered, but where he really shined was Mod Truck.
Cavalieri out-gunned teammate Ryan Maifield in A1, but Maifield charged back in A2 to tie it up going into the third leg. In A3, Cavalieri pulled away early, and after a few mistakes from Maifield, Cavalieri put it on auto-pilot and cruised to an easy victory and the overall title.
That its from Ohio for now! Tune in next week for live broadcasting of the nitro leg of the CRCRC Midwest Winter Championships!
