JQ Race Report:
Finally, the 1/8 Buggy season in Korea kicked off last weekend at Banwol Park Raceway and about 70 drivers from all over the country joined for this race. The temperature was still around freezing point but the competition was hot.
Total of 15 drivers drove JQ “THECar” making it the most popular car for this event.
3 JQ Drivers – DJ Park, Sun-Young Hwang, and Ryan Lee, made to the A-Main final and fought for that first spot. Sun-Young Hwang, who chose to drive
THECar for 2012, showed great performance in the qualifying rounds, but a big crash from behind at the start of final caused him broken throttle linkage.
20 minutes into the final, it was all about DJ Park, Jae-Kyun Kim, and Ryan Lee. They constantly exchanged their positions, but it was DJ Park who took the charge and took this championship home.
1st: DJ Park(JQ The Car/Sweep Exagon/OS) 2nd: JaeGyun Kim(Kyosho/Sweep Exagon/Werks) 3rd: Ryan Lee(JQ The Car/Sweep Square Armor/Alpha A852)
12th: Sunyoung Hwang(JQ The Car/Sweep Exagon/OS)
TQ: Dani Choi
It was successful day for JQ Products. 2 of THECars made the podium!
Lastly, Jae-Kyun Kim, who took runner-up position in the event, was quite impressed about the durability and the handling of THECar. And, he inked a one-year deal with KEC-D to drive THECar for the rest of the season. Look forward to seeing great performances from Jae-Kyun Kim soon.

Report by Ryan Lee:
The season opening race was held in Banwol track on March11!
The weather should be warm.. but it was still..chilly winter!!
I got my package on time before race, so I could build my car quickly with new updated parts/light weight hop-ups for the race! Thanks to JQ!
Though some of drivers left the track in the morning due to chilly weather(-5deg. C), number of drivers was almost a hundred.
Qualifying went with few mistake, so I sat 3rd in the B main, and needed one bump up to be in the Amain, while JQ driver DJ got second grid in Amain just behind of current National champion Dani Choi.
A disaster happened in the B main, my car lost control(receiver trouble) just before start, so I switched to my spare car which wasn't prepared properly for the track! but I could bump up from last grid at very last lap then prepared the car for the main!
My car with smooth gearing+Kyosho green spring/aluminum shock caps went really well until 20 minutes with some battling for the top. But my car started to loose when on powered then made few mistake which caused me to drop down to 3rd! I found this was happened by a broken center diff o-ring later which I didn't maintenance properly! half of oil were leaked!!
The result was team mate DJ's win(JQ), JaeGyun Kim(Kyosho) took second, me 3rd(JQ). Three of us was within few second which mean very close race!
