This past weekend hosted Round 4 of 5 of the Island Nitro Series in Jamaica, and ended the day with even closer championship points standings! The change in points standings will make the Round 5 finale one of the most competitive races of the season, as the potential champions will all be fighting for the crown.
Howard Maitland had some tuning issues at the start of the day, but was still able to work it out and navigate to pole position in qualifying for the Sedan Class. While there were serious challenges thoughout the race and numerous exchanging positions, it would be Franklin Thomas who kept his consistency from the start of the race, and went on to take the win.
The 1/8 Nitro Open AWD class ended on a very interesting note as the there was a light drizzle towards the end of the race. Mike Clarke with his XRAY laid down the skills which drove him to victory. Clarke now has the most points going into race 5 in this class.
Race 5 will be held on May 7, 2017 in Kingston Jamaica. For more details visit the JAM RC Club on Facebook HERE.
