Race report from Randy Jones:
Young gun TLR driver Tyler Jones attended the End of Summer Shootout cash race at I69 Raceway in Noblesville, IN this past Labor Day weekend. Crowd was not huge with heavy threat of rain but still had some tough competition show up. No rain came with the exception of a light shower that the track soaked right up. It would be three rounds of qualifying with rocket round and mains for the day of racing.
Tyler would run Pro nitro buggy and ebuggy. He was on pace in both classes to get the tq but had a bobble in each to render him a second place start in both mains.
First up was ebuggy main and Tyler's TLR 8 3.0E on JConcepts Black Hybrids would take the lead on the second lap and check out for the win in the ten minute main. His Dynamite esc and motor ripped off a new track record by almost a half a second. All the while being controlled by Spektrum servo and radio.
Next came the nitro main and Tyler's TLR 8 3.0 on JConcepts Black Hybrids would grab the lead on the first lap of the twenty minute main and would check out again for the win. His Clocked Keep-Off 4 on Bones Brew fuel ran flawlessly all weekend. All the while being controlled by Spektrum servos and radio.
Tyler wants to say "Thanks to the crew at I69 for an awesome layout and race. Also thanks to my sponsors TLR, Spektrum, Clockwork Racing Engines, JConcepts, Bones Brew, Dynamite, Lucky7 RC, BDB Designs, and Hot Headz for all the continued support!"
