The Unprofessionals: 2021 A1/H1 Supercross Weekend

Here at LiveRC we like rc cars and we also like dirt bikes, this weekend is a good weekend to be a fan of both. Obviously it is still going to be a strange year with the after effects of the pandemic, and with that the first Supercross race of the year was pushed to this weekend and moved to Houston. The first race of the year is always extremely exciting even if the actual race sucks because the story lines are great. Everyone is debuting with their new teams, bikes, products, etc. The rookies like Chase Sexton and Dylan Ferrandis will make things exciting. Justin Barcia and Malcom Stewart are on new bikes and teams. There is a lot to be excited for in the first Supercross race of the year.

Parallel that to our hobby/sport of choice and you have SIC and The CRCRC Midwest 1/8th scale championships this weekend. Tyler Jones, Ryan Lutz, and Spencer Heckert showing up with new equipment, guys with new tires and new engines, new radios and servos. Everyone has been doing their own for of practicing and testing and is coming in confident, the first big event of the 1/8th scale season always has exciting story lines. I personally can't wait to get it all started.

Couple this with The Chili Bowl and The RC Chili Bowl and you have a fantastic weekend. Rico Abreu's preliminary night win last night after destroying his car the night before. As well as Sammy Swindell getting flipped off by a guy who was just simply excited to say he passed the legend.

It is a good opening motorsports weekend for 2021!
