PROTOform Race Report:
Team PROTOform’s Viktor Wilck took TQ and the overall win in Touring Car Modified this past weekend at Round 3 of the ETS Series in Gran Canaria, Spain, reports RedRC.
Equipped with a PROTOform LTC-R, Viktor battled high winds and a very low traction, dusty track throughout the 3-day event. After cruising to victory over Snowbirds TC Mod winner and fellow swede Alex Hagberg in A-Main #1, A-Main #2 set up a spirited battle between Wilck and Yannic Prumper. The lead changed hands multiple times throughout the 5 minutes, both drivers battling the difficult track conditions. A wild finish saw Prumper pull a desperation move, colliding with Wilck on the final straightaway and sending his car airborne. After a review by race marshall Scotty Ernst, the win was awarded to Wilck, giving him his first ETS win in four years.
PROTOform’s Ronald Volker, the ETS points leader through 3 of 6 rounds, capped off the All-LTC podium.
Next stop for the ETS is Traiskirchen, Austria, a covered outdoor round June 14-16.
