We start round 2 on a very sunny and hot morning here at the Fengtai Sports Arena and the track is in much better condition than the previous mornings. Lap times are definitely heading south with the added sun provided grip, but the heat is cooking tires and the traction window will start to play a crucial part in the 5 minute qualfying runs today.

Round 2 saw Yokomo's Ronald Volker set the early pace with back to back fast laps. However, with only a narrow time margin over round 1 TQ, Xray's Bruno Coelho, the lead would not last. As the round was nearing the half-way mark, Coelho would start to take over as Volker's pace would fade a bit and see him finish 2nd for the round. Coelho was able to keep his pace throughout the run and gap build his gap back to 2nd by 1.4 seconds.
Xray's Alexander Hagberg would battle with Serpent's Viktor Wilck throughout the run trading positions multiple times. After 5 minutes, Hagberg would finish 3rd with Wilck 4th for round 2.
Akio Sobue would be the highest finishing Tamiya driver in 5th, 3 positions ahead of teammate Marc Rheinard.
