Fifteen-year-old Italian Mugen Seiki racer Davide Ongaro proved his performance in yesterday’s free practice was no fluke, driving his MBX7R the fastest three consecutive laps in the opening round of seeding on Monday by over 8-tenths of a second with defending European Champion Elliott Boots second.
Elsewhere, Mike Truhe - who raced his way into the event in the Worlds pre-race and thus did not get to practice yesterday, set the eighth fastest seed time. Also, defending champion Ty Tessmann broke an undisclosed component on the first lap of his seeding race that knocked him off the track for the first half. He was able to get back on the track around the five-minute mark and record the 21st-fastest seed time.
