A1 went to Xray's Bruno Coelho, but the field will never give up. Yokomo's Ronald Volker would come back in A2 as the weather was rapidly changing and the forecast looking like wind and rain. The race organizers would rush into A2 as soon as possible to avoid any chance of rain and it was a stunner of a race.

Starting from pole, Coelho used the TQ advantage and started to pull away within a minute. However, the pace he had to 2nd place car, Ronald Volker wasn't as significant as it was in A1 and the margin was small. Being able to better manage the gap to Coelho, Volker was able to keep close enough so that Coelho could feel the pressure. On lap 9 of 18, Coelho would make a huge mistake that resulted in his car rolling on its lid and sliding to the barrier. Volker would seize the moment and get by to take over the lead and hold it to take an exciting win and force it to A3.
With a bit of mayhem in the backfield early on while the two leaders were distancing themselves from the field, Tamiya's Marc Rheinard would move from 5th to 3rd and hold the position till the very end. Teammate Christopher Krapp would also take advantage of the shuffle and position himself in 4th in A2.
As the race finished, the wind was increasing and slight sprinkles were falling on the racetrack. Things are really getting interesting here in Beijing, China.
