Long time X Factory driver Alexandre Valente took his X – 6 Cubed to a convincing win at the annual Christmas Race held at the venerable Antibes track near the Mediterranean. 58 drivers turned out in mod buggy for this regional race including several top French racers. The track was its usual bumpy outdoor surface; Alexandre said, “My X – 6 Cubed was truly in its element, turning in amazing laps all day.”
Valente, a former French National Champion, TQed qualifier 1 by a lap over the field. He broke a front arm in Q2, and experimented with tires in Q3. Starting in the TQ spot, Alexandre won all three A mains, averaging 10 seconds over the next car. Many drivers remarked how good his Cubed looked all over the track.
Second in the race, driving an X – 6 Squared, was Valente’s friend Yann Bedoucha, and finishing third was former French National champion Lionel Labbez.
