XRAY has just released not one, but TWO new aluminum chassis for the X1 formula racer kit. The first is a solid aluminum chassis, CNC-machined from 2mm thick premium Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum and additionally black coated. Designed & developed to increase traction, stability, and steering in specific conditions. The aluminum chassis provides better control and makes the car easier to drive.
XRAY says, "This innovative aluminum chassis was extensively tested and is recommended for high and very high traction tracks. Includes a new 2-position option for pod link mounting; the first outer position is standard, while the new inner position allows for angled mounting of the pod links to improve in-corner steering. Also features a new, more frontward position for mounting the central mounting plate for the new short shock."
Next is the new Aluminum Flex Chassis which is also CNC-machined from Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum, but contains special cutout openings for increased flex. This chassis is recommended for and works extremely well on medium and high traction tracks; not recommended for very high traction conditions, where the #371010 Aluminum Chassis works better.
This new aluminum flex chassis generates more traction and gives improved steering. Used successfully by Team XRAY at numerous races, this chassis is a “must have” for every serious racer. Includes a new 2-position option for pod link mounting; the first outer position is standard, while the new inner position allows for angled mounting of the pod links to improve in-corner steering. Also feature a new, more frontward position for mounting the central mount plate for the new short shock.
