XRAY Wins Israeli National League R6

We were fortunate enough to come across this race report put together by Israeli XRAY Team Driver Dotan Halevy, who took his XRAY 808 '11 Spec to the win this past weekend at the Israeli National League R6 race.

Race Report by XRAY's Dotan Halevy 
The sixth race of this season was also the first one with the XB808 2011-spec. It was also the first race for new drivers who recently joined us and made good results already. Aviv Maimon raced for the first time with both the XB808’11 and the XT8 and finished 7th and 2nd respectively.

 
Qualifying: 

Buggy:
Adir Zvoluny and I had a very close battle for the TQ, which ended with a 0.3sec margin in my favor.

Truggy:
Aviv Maimon (on his first race with XRAY) got 2nd place. Ofer Rozen was consistent as usual and got 3rd place.
 

Finals 

Buggy:
Rami Ksantini, who raced the XB808’11 for the first time, missed the bump-up for the A-final by a close margin. Good job for him for his first race with XRAY! Asi Bitton had the bump-up position in his semi-final, but ran out of fuel and lost his position. Aviv Maimon also had a close battle for the bump-up and he got it eventually. Adir and I won the two semi-finals.

The A-final started with me and Adir in 1st and 2nd positions. After several minutes of holding this order, Adir suffered engine-related problems which dropped him back considerably and he finished in 6th place. I kept the lead to the end. Aviv finished in 7th place.

 
Truggy:
The truggy final was very good for our team. Aviv finished 2nd and Hovav Siboni had his first podium finish in 3rd place. 

XB808 2011
 
This was the first race with the new car. I didn't have enough time to explore its full potential with the new suspension holders, but I still like it already more than ever!

The new car felt faster and easier to drive.
