This was the third race of this year at XMG track in 2018. XMG track is located in Dongguan, Southern part of China, about 90km away from Hong Kong border.  Racers from mainland China, Taiwan as well as Hong Kong racers participated in this race. This dirt track was newly refreshed with new layout and expanded track size. Thanks for the additional continuous jumps on straight and large corners that made this new layout the toughest test for all racers and equipment.

Tekno Team Driver Jonathan Yeung and his dad Carson from Hong Kong drove the TEKNO NB48.4  (Jonathan) and TEKNO NT48.3 (Carson) to compete in Nitro Buggy and Nitro Truggy respectively. Both cars powered by ALPHA DRAGON IV engines with the latest 4 shoes clutch systems.

In the nitro Buggy class A-Main final,  Jonathan started 2nd place and was able to take the lead in first lap but some minor mistakes pushed him back to 3rd place. The fight for 1st place was intense with leading car (Quan) for the first 20 minutes, the time gap between 2 cars was just about 1 sec. Maybe the refuel strategy was too aggressive for the leading car (Quan), his car  flameed-out just in front of the pit entry while he trying to get into pit to refuel. Jonathan took this chance to take the lead and never looked back and was able to drive with his rhythm. He continued to extend the lead for the remaining 25min. At the end of 45min race, Jonathan won the A Main final finished 88 laps, Zhan in 2nd place finished 85 laps and Quan in 3rd place finished 84 laps.

In the nitro Truggy class, Carson won TQ and A1 after the 30 min race. The race between Carson and Quan was intense for the first 15min. However, another flame-out of Quan's car maed a comfortable margin for Carson to win the race.

After the 3 rounds of racing, Jonathan and Carson further extend their lead in the M.K.Power Offroad Championship series race.
