SMC Lowrider motor takes another National Championship
The SMC Lowrider motor takes the 2018 JMRCA National Championship in 1/12th Mod. After getting to see the motor’s potential first hand at the Snowbirds, Yugo Nagashima powered his car to TQ and the national championship with the Lowrider at Crest Speedway on July 1. The motor also took second and was chosen by 4 of the A main qualifiers to make it the used motor in the A main. All 4 drivers also used the SMC RF-170 ESC.
This is the second National Championship the motor has gathered in 2018 with Sam Isaacs taking the coveted ROAR National Chamiponship in 1/12thMod at Apex Raceway in March. And this was just Sam’s first Mod 12 scale race! He went on to back up that win with another at the Mile High Indoor Champs at 5280 Raceway.
Racers everywhere are discovering the light, low CG package also has a smooth powerband that revs and revs. Congratulations to Yugo and Sam for your Championships!
